Right now Ulta is having a clearance sale on lots of high end and drugstore products! The first day I went, I got an extra 50% off of the 50% off clearance sale 😲😃 The next day I went again and didn't get the extra 50%, a manager told me there was a mistake at corporate so they couldn't give me the extra sale price. Soooo the first day I got the best mistake sale haul ever! The sale is still going on and there are some amazing deals even without the extra 50% off, I would definitely recommend checking it out. Here's what I got for under $60!

Day 1, extra 50% off prices

♥️ Benefit pretty in the U.S.A. palette and brow set. Originally $44, on sale for $11

♥️ Lime Crime pocket candy palette in Pink Lemonade. Originally $34, on sale for $8.50

♥️ Maybelline brow precise fiber volumizer in Medium Brown. Originally $8.49, on sale for $2.

♥️ Maybelline brow Precise Fiber Volumizer in Deep Brown. Originally $8.49, on sale for $1.

♥️ x2 Benefit High Beam and Sun Beam sets. Originally $10, on sale for $2.50.

♥️ Colourpop Element of Surprise palette. Originally $16, on sale for $4.

♥️ Lime Crime Velvetine in Red Rose. Originally $20, on sale for $5.

♥️ L'oreal Paradise Enchanted palette. Not part of the sale, but I used the $3.50 off coupon and got it for $11.49

Day 2, no extra 50% off

♥️ Maybelline Lemonade Craze palette. Originally $13.99, on sale for $7.

Overall, this was the best sale ever!! My favorite deal is the colourpop palette for only $4!

Also, one of the palettes I got is, in my opinion, a dupe for the formula of Anastasia Beverly Hills shadows! Review coming soon. Thanks for reading and I hope you head to Ulta and get some steals for yourself!

Glossier has yet to disappoint me. Here's my review of Phase 2!

❥ The Phase 2 set include Glossier's "daily makeup staples". (Phase 1 includes skincare products) You receive Boy Brow; a brow pomade/gel, Stretch concealer; a light coverage cream concealer; and Generation G; a blotted-look matte lipstick. By buying the set, you save $12, which brings the price to $40. I think this is a great value! You can also receive 10% off your order if you use the link http://bff.glossier.com/hO4MP . It will also help my blog out. 😉

❥ Here's my unboxing video! This is my first-ever YouTube video. (sorry I forgot to turn my phone sideways while filming *facepalm*)

❥ The packaging is minimalist as per usual, I love the packaging of Boy Brow especially! I got the shade Light in concealer, the shade Cake in Generation G, and the shade Brown in Boy Brow.

Application

❥ Let's start with the Stretch Concealer. Glossier suggests you apply it with your hands, and that works very well. I wanted to use the concealer as an all-over foundation, so I tried it with a brush and a sponge. The densely-packed flat top brush worked really well. There was a tiny bit of streakyness, but it gave me an even appearance. The sponge did not work well at all. It sucked up too much product, and left me looking patchy and cakey. If you're just using it as concealer, I would recommend using your fingers, and if you want to use it as foundation or if you don't like touching your face, I would recommend a soft, dense, flat brush. I also set the center of my face with translucent powder, I would recommend using just a light dusting to avoid cakiness.

❥ The texture of the concealer is super creamy and soft. It felt hydrating and light on the skin. This is the only concealer/foundation I've ever used that I didn't hate wearing! I actually kind of enjoyed wearing it because it felt like a hydrating barrier protecting my skin from the winter dryness. The shade match was great, I think it's pretty forgiving because it's quite sheer and dewy. Even though it is sheer, I still get a good amount of coverage for my acne and redness. It gives a very my-skin-but-better look. This is definitely going to be one of my daily go-to's from now on! 9 spoon emojis out of 10! (this one was hard to pick an emoji for, so I just did a spoon because it matches the packaging😂)🥄🥄🥄🥄🥄🥄🥄🥄🥄

❥ Next, Generation G lipstick. I got the shade Cake, which is described as a "subtle peachy nude". I don't normally like peachy/orange lipstick on me, so I wanted to try something out of my comfort zone. The color is very pretty, and it can be applied quite sheer or built up to a terracotta color. The formula is not drying even though it's satin/matte. It's very comfortable to wear and has an interesting scent. My best description of it would be salty chocolate. 😂 I'm giving it 7 out of 10 peach emojis. I love the formula, but the color is just not my #1 favorite personally. It is definitely a beautiful wearable terracotta that I will be reaching for again though. 🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑

❥ Lastly, Boy Brow. This is one of Glossier's super-hyped products. Right off the bat, I just have to mention, the tube is tiiiny. Like, smaller than a sample size mascara tiny. You don't need much for each application, but I'm skeptical about how long it will last. I'll update this post when I run out. I think this product might be worth the cost-per-use though, because it worked wonders on my brows!

Before

After

❥ !!! The results are amazing! This might just be replacing my Maybelline Brow Precise Fiber Volumizer. There really isn't much of a learning curve, and it's pretty simple to apply. In a very small spot where my brow is sparse I just applied a little bit of brow pencil. But you really wouldn't have to use any other products with boy brow. I've also heard of people using it as a mascara, I think I'll give that a try soon as I've been wanting a brown mascara. I'm giving it 8 raised eyebrow emojis out of 10 just because I wish you got a little bit more product. 🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨

Overall, I loved the Glossier Phase 2 set, and I'm excited to try more products from them. Thanks for reading! 💗

Lime Crime recently came out with a new formula of liquid lipsticks: Plushies!

This product is supposed to be a "soft focus lip veil". I was intrigued by this description because, while I love how long-wearing their Velvetines Matte Liquid Lipsticks are, they can be a little heavy. I've also found that most of their shades are pretty deep in color. So when I saw that the new Plushies looked much more natural, light, and sheer, I was sold! Here's the rest of the description from Lime Crime's website:

PLUSHIES (from plushy: a soft toy) are the new generation of nude lips. Non-opaque, soft focus formula enhances natural lip color while making your lips look as plush as a teddy bear! Touch-proof finish ensures no-hassle all-day wear. One coat is all you need for that coveted my-lips-but-better effect, or build to your liking for more intensity. Infused with a nostalgic blackberry candy scent. Plushies are so comfortable, you'll forget you're wearing them!

❥ The three shades I purchased are Rosebud, Turkish Delight, and Milk Tea. They were running a promo the week the Plushies launched so you could buy 3 for $16 each. The regular price is $20, but Lime Crime is always doing sales. 👍

Swatches!

❥ First of all, the packaging is adorable! I love the pink silicone cap and the cute little teddy bear head! I have them displayed on the top of my makeup organizer right now. The packaging feels like it's quality. I also appreciate that the amount of product and tube size is more than the Velvetines, which are 2.6 ml. The Plushies are 3.5 ml. You do need a little more product than when you are applying Velvetines, because they are less pigmented.

❥ I found that the Plushies were pretty easy to apply. I dotted some product onto my lips and blended it out with my fingertip. The only shade that was at all patchy was Milk Tea, and that was fixable with a little blending. I really like the effect of applying two colors, one in the center of the lips, and one on the outer edge. They are also great if you like to overline your lips, it looks very natural.

❥The Plushies dried to a matte, transfer proof finish, and wore all day long. By the end of the day, they were faded, but there was no flaking or significant wear to the inner portion of the lips. The finish can be slightly tacky or rubbery feeling, especially if you put multiple layers on for more color payoff. This didn't bother me as much as when other lipsticks feel that way, because the Plushies are so transfer proof.

❥ The scent is described as a "nostalgic blackberry candy scent", but to me it smelled like fruity bubblegum. It's not overpowering, and I love the scent!

❥ The Plushies are honestly my new favorite lipstick formula, and I've been wearing them almost every day, so I'm going to give them 10/10 teddy bear emojis!

🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻

❥ I would recommend Plushies to those who want lipstick that wears great all day long, comes in a wide range of colors, and is not heavy feeling!
